Company Profile

Filstar Distributors Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Bookstore, Inc., the biggest school and office supply store chain in the Philippines with more than 100 stores nationwide.

The company maintains the prestige of being the exclusive licensee of Hallmark Cards U.S.A since 1974. In addition, Filstar acquried the exclusive distributorship of Bic Writing Instruments from France in 2001.  And to add to its family of balloon products, it acquired the exclusive distributorship of Everts Balloons from Malaysia in 2003.

On the same year, the company introduced scrapbooking in the Philippines, creating the brand All About Scrapbooking.  Sub brands include Craftin` & Scrappin`, a collection of scrapbook embellishements and accesories; Simply Handmade, an array of scrapbook materials made from indigenous materials like abaca, banana leaf, and coconut husk.  Materials from this group are made by hand giving each item a unique look and finish; and Hallmark Scrapbooking Paper Sheets, Stickers, and accessories.

In 2007, Filstar introduced Hallmark Party! Party! -- a colorful line of party favors that included round printed balloons, party poppers, Happy Birthday banners, craft sticks, finger puppets, spiral and hotdog balloons, to name a few.

In addition to its fine line of quality products, Filstar also introduced its own line of Photo Albums in 2008 under the brand PhotoFun.

And lastly, Skytes, a new range of fabric kites, was first sold in the market in 2009.

Filstar has approximately 400 field sales personnel, and prides itself in having varied channels of distribution reaching over 1,300 rooftops in the Philippines with majority of its products available at supermarkets, drug stores, convenience stores, book stores, department stores, hypermarts and variety stores.
