Matchbook Album




The Matchbook Album basically has 3 parts:

  • the pocket
  • the cover
  • the scrapbookpages

Materials

  • 4 sheets Keepsakes Papers (2 decorative, 2 solid-colored)
  • 1 Leather strip (1 1/2 meters)
  • Bic Glue Stick

Part 1: Pocket

Part 1: Pocket

a. Cut one solid-colored sheet with size 3 x 11 inches.

b. With the colored part outside and in horizontal orientation, fold 1/2 inch on either the left or right edge.

c. Use the Bic Glue Stick to paste the paper from the fold to the other side.

Part 2: Cover

Part 2: Cover

a. For the cover, cut the decorative sheet ino size 5 1/2 x 11 inches.

b. With the white part facing you, fold the bottom side measuring 3/4 inch. This will show the decorative part of the paper.

c. Insert the pocket into the 3/4-inch fold. Punch 2 holes.

d. Cut the leather strips into 5 equal sizes (30 cm). Get 2 strips and tie ribbons into the 2 punched holes.

e. Fold the cover to reveal the decorative protion.

f. Carefully estimate the measurement of the fold until its top end exactly covers the holes on the lower end. Let the ribbon stand out from the bottom.

Part 3: Scrapbook Pages

a. Make 4 pages of 4 x 5-inch rectangles from 1 solid sheet and 4 pages of 4 x 5-inch rectangles from the decorative sheet. Complile them together alternately. Punch 3 holes of equal distances at the bottom.

b. Tie the pages together with leather strips. Now, you have the scrapbook pages ready to be filled with photos and scrapbooking accessories! Insert the scrapbok pages into the pocket and close the cover to reveal the Matchbook Album.
